Northern Spark Electrical respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, retain and delete personal information submitted through this website and the Spark Estimate Assistant.

1. What we collect

We limit collection to information reasonably needed to understand and respond to an electrical service or quote request. Depending on what you choose to provide, this may include:

• name, phone number, email address and preferred contact method;
• general project area or neighbourhood;
• answers, notes and conversation content entered in the Estimate Assistant;
• optional project photos, such as an electrical panel, existing switches, fixtures or the work area; and
• limited technical and security information processed by our hosting and anti-abuse providers, such as IP address, browser/device information and security-verification data.

We do not ask for payment-card information, government identification, dates of birth or other information that is not needed for a quote request.

2. Why we collect and use it

We use the information to understand the requested work, review site conditions, contact you using your selected contact method, clarify project details, arrange a site visit when appropriate, prepare or discuss a written quote, protect the website from abuse and maintain ordinary business records where reasonably necessary.

Information submitted for a quote request is not automatically added to a marketing list and is not used for unrelated advertising.

3. Your consent and choices

Before an Estimate Assistant request can be sent, you are asked to acknowledge this privacy notice. Project photos are optional. You can choose not to upload them and can contact Northern Spark directly instead.

4. Optional project photos

Uploaded photos are stored privately for estimate review. The system is configured to delete uploaded photos automatically after 30 days. Photo links are protected by long access tokens, are set not to be cached, and are not intended to be public gallery links.

5. Service providers and processing outside Canada

We use service providers to operate the website and quote-request workflow. Personal information may therefore be processed or stored outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of the country where it is processed.

6. Cookies, analytics and tracking

This website is designed without advertising cookies, behavioural profiling pixels, Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. Cloudflare Turnstile is used for security verification and is configured without Turnstile pre-clearance. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, it is used in its cookie-free mode for aggregate site-performance information.

Cloudflare or other infrastructure may use strictly necessary security mechanisms in certain challenge or abuse-prevention situations. We do not currently use optional cookies that require an “Accept all” choice. See our Cookie & Tracking Notice.

7. Disclosure

We disclose personal information only as reasonably needed to operate the quote-request workflow, provide the requested service, use the service providers described above, comply with law, or protect people, property or systems. We do not sell estimate-request personal information.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information involved, including HTTPS, server-side validation, anti-bot verification, private photo storage, expiring photo access and limited data collection. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Retention and deletion

Optional uploaded photos are configured for automatic deletion after 30 days. Other quote-request information may remain in business email or records only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide service, address disputes, or satisfy legitimate business or legal requirements. When information is no longer reasonably needed, it should be securely deleted or anonymized.

10. Access, correction and deletion requests

You may ask about the personal information Northern Spark Electrical holds about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion where applicable. Include your request number (for example, NS-20261022-1234) when available so the request can be located without asking for unnecessary additional information.

11. Children

This website is intended for people requesting electrical services for a property or project and is not directed to children. Please do not submit personal information about a child through the Estimate Assistant unless it is genuinely necessary for the requested service.
